Each Friday of the month, we’ll be offering “theme days” at Puppy Club. The themes are meant to compliment our broader three day Puppy Club session packages. Our hope is to dive a bit deeper into some topics we believe will support your puppy’s wellness as they age. This week puppies will engage in special 4th of July themed activities! When we aren’t celebrating a holiday, the standard weekly themes are:
- Veterinary Preparation- We’ll use your puppy’s time at Puppy Club today to focus on comfort around routine handling and the entirety of the veterinary experience. As we know, visiting the vet isn’t always fun, however, under even the best of circumstances, it’s a part of life. We want grooming, handling and medical care to be comfortable, ideally even fun for your pup. In this class will work on comfort with paw handling, building toward nail trims, teeth and ear checks, comfort wearing an elizabethan collar and muzzle (while we hope the need for one of these tools is unlikely for your dog as they age, we don’t want your dog to be stressed should they NEED one at some point), familiarity with white coats, stethoscopes, etc. Our hope is that this session begins to lay the groundwork for a life-long willing veterinary patient!
- Tricks and Games (see full description by locating this class on our calendar)
- The Other 3 Seasons (see full description by locating this class on our calendar)
- Better Choices, More Relaxation (see full description by locating this class on our calendar)
Like all other Puppy Club offerings, the group will be limited to six participants and will include opportunities to recreate with other pups, begin basic manners, and reinforce positive exposure to a variety of novel stimuli.
Drop-off for afternoon sessions occurs between 1:30 and 1:45 pm with pick-up between 4:45 and 5:00 pm.
Puppies must be vaccinated, dewormed, and wearing a collar with name tag. Puppy parents are welcome to drop in anytime (this is on hold right now due to Covid-19 safety precautions) and will be provided contact information for the Puppy Club employees in the event of emergency.
We hope you’ll join us for Puppy Club, where your Puppy will Play.Learn.Grow.
